The Apple IPhone is almost here

Apple's new toy, the IPhone, is almost ready to hit the retail store shelves. I can already hear the rumblings of hundreds of Apple consumers bursting through the doors of their local Apple stores in search the new phone that's an IPod... that's a video player... that's a web browser... that's basically going to print tons of money for Apple.

Starpulse.com is reporting that the movie musical Dreamgirls has picked up a couple of awards from the Foundation For The Advancement Of African-Americans In Film's (FAAAF). The film has an all-star African-American cast and is already on track to gather up some wins at this year's Academy Awards.

Brandy being sued for $50 million!

NationalLedger.com is reporting that R&B singer Brandy, who's full name is Brandy Norwood, is being sued for $50 million in a lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Kanye West is a reality; not a cliche!

Kanye West , Fergie and John Legend are scheduled to perform for an upcoming VH1 broadcast that's part of this year's Super Bowl festivities. The performance will be called "The Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash" and is scheduled to take place on February 1st in Miami at the NFL Experience, a venue set adjacent to Dolphin Stadium.

The 'Godfather of Soul' has passed

James Brown, the 'Godfather of Soul', died early this Monday morning at Atlanta's Emory Crawford Long Hospital of congestive heart failure. Brown was 73. Brown -- also known as the hardest working man in show business -- was a foundation for funk and will surely be missed. Any of our readers out there ever see James Brown perform in person?

Vida Guerra, Ford up on The Game

The word around town is that Vida Guerra, Melyssa Ford, and others aren't too pleased with recent lyrics written by The Game on his newly released album, Doctor's Advocate, where he states that "new video [models] are trying to be Melyssa Ford, but they don't [know] Melyssa Ford drives a Honda Accord."

If I'm not delusional and confused, I believe I just read that Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry is slated to release a new music album entitled Halle. I was under the impression that she understood that Catwoman was enough suffering for us all. Would you spend you hard earn dollars on a music album released by actress-turned-part-time singer Halle Berry?

Catch Christina in 'Pulse' on DVD

All Christina fans that are remotely interested can have another piece of Milian movie magic when Pulse comes to DVD. Milian co-stars in the horror flick along with Kristen Bell, Ian Somerhalder, Christina Milian, Rick Gonzalez, and Jonathan Tucker. The unrated widescreen DVD is slated to be release on December 5, 2006 (Amazon.com).
